Fun for Monday: The Count to 10 with Me Tag

Tags are wonderful things. They make me think of appetisers, used to whet the appetite without spoiling the main meal. Certainly, that’s how I’m using them right now. Answering random questions about books and other things allows me to burble on about whatever’s on my mind without feeling pressured into coherence. It’s strangely therapeutic. I saw this tag over at Zeezee’s about a month ago. She in turn found it over on Kristin Kraves Books and it was created by booktuber the Bumbling Blogger’s partner, Sean.   And so, without further ado … three … two … one … go!!   First book … Continue reading Fun for Monday: The Count to 10 with Me Tag

2020 Progress Report

It’s an understatement to say that 2020 was a weird year, I know. In my own working world we closed our libraries in March not knowing when we were going to reopen. How cool would it be to set up an international book-swapping website?   For this challenge I have tried not to mention any books that I’ve already talked about at some point on my blog. Just for fun. Watch me drop … Continue reading Fun for Monday: The Opposites Tag

Fun for Monday: A Fantasy Dinner Party

As we’re nearing the end of Wyrd and Wonder 2020 it seems appropriate that my last tag be a gathering of some favourite characters for a big ol’ shindig. The Literary Dinner Party tag was done in a delightfully fantasy way for Wyrd and Wonder a couple of years ago by Anouk of Time for Tales and Tea and was originally created by NEHOMAS2. Let’s get this party started, shall we?   One character who can cook/likes to cook My first invitation has to go out to Mrs Smith from The Anvil of the World by Kage Baker, not only … Continue reading Fun for Monday: A Fantasy Dinner Party
